Temporis Sauterelle
Our fifth release. The idea that came before the first.
Temporis Sauterelle is the watch Lesablier was originally meant to make.
Before the brand existed, the plan was to build around the jump-hour complication. An early concept was drawn in 2016, with the idea revisited again in 2023. But executing it properly required more than placing an aperture on an existing dial. It required a dedicated module, a completely new case and bracelet, and production partners capable of bringing the mechanism and design together as a coherent watch.
Nearly a decade later, we are finally able to make it.
Sauterelle pairs a jumping-hour display at 12 o’clock with a single central minute hand. The display sits within a layered, tonneau-shaped dial architecture, housed in a curved 904L stainless-steel case with an integrated bracelet. It is available in five distinct executions: Aventurine, Malachite, Tiger’s Eye, Lapis and Openworked.
Although it is our fifth release, Sauterelle reaches back to the earliest idea behind Lesablier: creating mechanically interesting watches informed by the unconventional designs of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, without simply reproducing them.
